Melissa Bent, our Sales Representative for Hotels in Queensland, has achieved 17 years association with the South-East Queensland Professional Housekeepers Association. Melissa has been on the committee for 13 of those 17 years acting as the Treasurer.

The association brings housekeeping professionals together for regular meetings to share their experiences in the growing housekeeping industry.

The annual South-East Queensland Professional Housekeepers Association (SEQPHA) gathered for breakfast for their 2018 AGM at the Sofitel Gold Coast in Queensland in February 2018.

The AGM had appearances from industry professionals sharing insights and challenges for the year ahead - such as the upcoming Commonwealth Games and working with disabled students to enable them to join the workforce. Amery Burleigh the General Manager from Sofitel gave insights into refurbishment plans and solutions.

Melissa said a great time was had by all attendees with some excellent presentations and speaches given. A raffle was held that raised funds and Melissa would like to thank the sponsors for supporting the Association. There are 2 more events planned before the Annual Race Day on 14th July 2018.
